  • What do I do with my stuff?

We offer a secure bag check at the event. Simply tear off the bag check tag from the bottom of your race bib and attach it to your bag. Our team will store it safely until you’re ready to pick it up after the race.

  • Do I need to be a good runner to do this?

No! GLO Toronto is open to all — from competitive runners aiming for a personal best to walkers soaking in the lights and music. Go at your own pace and enjoy the experience.

  • Can I run with my dog?

For safety reasons, pets are not permitted on the course.

  • Is there a charge for parking?

Parking costs vary by location. Please check your event page for details. Carpooling is encouraged to make parking easier and reduce traffic.

  • When and where can I get my packet?

Packet pickup is usually the day before the race. The exact time and location will be posted on your event page about two weeks before race day.

  • Can a friend pick up my packet?

Yes! If you’ve signed the online waiver, your friend just needs your confirmation email to pick up your packet.

  • Where can I pick up my merchandise?

Pre-purchased merchandise can be picked up at Packet Pickup or the Merchandise Tent on race day. Bring your name and confirmation email. All items must be collected before the start of the race — unclaimed items will be donated.

  • Do you donate to a charity or cause?

Yes. GLO Toronto partners with local charities in each city to support community initiatives. Check your event’s page to see which cause your run supports this year.

Registration Questions

  • Can I transfer my entry to another person or switch distances?

Yes! We make it easy to either transfer your registration to another person or change your race distance — all through Race Roster.

    Switching Distances (1 Mile ↔ 5K)

You may switch from the 5K to the 1 Mile, or from the 1 Mile to the 5K, for a small fee. This can be done online in Race Roster before race day or in person at packet pickup.

Transferring Your Registration to Another Person

Transfers to another participant are free of charge and can be done directly in your Race Roster account:

    1. Sign in to your Race Roster account.
    2. Go to the "My Events" section and select the GLO Toronto event.
    3. Click the "Transfer" option.
    4. Enter the email address of the person you are transferring your registration to.
    5. The new participant will receive an email with instructions to claim the registration and complete their information.
    6. Once claimed, your registration will be officially transferred to them.
  • What time should I arrive on race day?

We recommend arriving at least 45–60 minutes before your race start time to allow for parking, packet pickup, and a proper warm-up.

  • Where can I see my results?

Live results will be available immediately as participants cross the finish line. QR codes will be provided on race day for instant access, and results will also be posted on the official event website.

  • Can I wear headphones during the race?

Headphones are allowed, but please keep the volume low enough to hear course marshals and announcements.

Policies

  • What is your weather policy?

Our participants' safety is the most important thing and if any of the threatening weather conditions listed below are present the day of the event, the event may be delayed or canceled.

Threatening Weather Conditions: GLO Toronto will be canceled or delayed if any of the following weather conditions exist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch, Thunderstorm/Electrical Storm, "Heavy" Rain, other major weather condition.

Start of the Race / Cancellation of the Event: The start of the event will be delayed if any of the above mentioned conditions exist. The event will then be canceled if any of the weather conditions persist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch or Thunderstorm/Electrical Storm.

Authority to Cancel the Event: Cancellation will only occur if directed by the official permit officer, the City of Toronto, local law enforcement, emergency services, or other authorized government agencies. If the event is canceled under these circumstances, no refunds can be provided, as funds will have already been allocated in preparation for race day.

  • What is your refund policy?

Unfortunately, we DO NOT issue refunds. The logistics of setting up and planning the event make it impossible. Event details may be updated to ensure the best possible race experience. We will make every effort to maintain the original date and location, however some locations may cancel or city regulations make a date or location impossible to use.

Just make sure you are good to go before signing up. If for some reason you can't make it to race day, at least come to the check in, pick up your GLO gear, and say hi to us!
